This Privacy Policy explains how Expense Manager – Money Tracker ("the App") handles information when you use our application.

1. Information We Handle

Expense Manager helps you manage your personal finances and may handle the following information depending on the features you use.

Images and Receipts

2. Local Financial Data Storage

The App uses the Android Room database to store your financial information locally on your device.

Your financial transactions, accounts, categories, notes and related financial information are intended to remain stored locally on your device and are not uploaded to Aurelia Labs' servers as part of the normal operation of the App.

Aurelia Labs does not have direct access to financial information stored only in the App's local database.

If you choose to export or share information using functionality provided by Android or another application, the exported or shared information may be handled according to the privacy practices of the receiving service.

3. Advertising – Google AdMob

The App uses Google AdMob to display advertisements.

Google Mobile Ads SDK may automatically collect and share certain information for purposes such as advertising, analytics and fraud prevention. Depending on the SDK version, configuration and user/device settings, this may include:

IP address
Device and account identifiers
Android Advertising ID or other advertising-related identifiers
App interactions
Diagnostic and performance information

IP address may also be used to estimate the general location of a device.

Advertising data is handled by Google and its advertising partners according to their applicable policies and services.

4. Firebase Analytics

The App uses Google Analytics for Firebase to understand how users interact with the App and to improve app functionality and user experience.

Firebase Analytics may collect information such as:

We do not intentionally send your financial transaction details to Firebase Analytics unless specifically described elsewhere in this Privacy Policy or required for a particular feature.

The App uses Firebase Crashlytics to identify and diagnose crashes, non-fatal errors and application performance issues.

The financial information stored in the App's local Room database is not intentionally uploaded to Firebase as part of normal financial tracking functionality.

Financial information stored locally in the App is not intentionally shared with Aurelia Labs or third parties as part of normal financial tracking functionality.

However, third-party services integrated into the App, including Google AdMob, Firebase Analytics and Firebase Crashlytics, may collect or process certain device, usage, advertising and diagnostic information as described in this Privacy Policy.

These services may share or process information as necessary to provide their respective services, including advertising, analytics, fraud prevention, crash reporting and service improvement.

If you voluntarily export or share information through another application or service, the receiving application or service may process that information according to its own privacy policy.

We may also disclose information when required by applicable law, legal process or a valid governmental request.

9. Data Security

We take reasonable measures to protect information handled by the App.

Financial information stored locally in the App is protected by the security mechanisms provided by the Android operating system and the device.

Information transmitted by third-party services such as Google AdMob and Firebase is handled using security measures provided by those services.

However, no method of electronic storage or transmission can be guaranteed to be completely secure.

You are responsible for keeping your device secure and protecting any exported files.

10. Data Retention

Financial information stored locally in the App remains on your device until you delete it, clear the App's data, or uninstall the App.

Exported files may remain on your device or another location until you delete them.

Data collected by third-party services such as AdMob, Firebase Analytics and Firebase Crashlytics may be retained according to the respective service's policies and retention settings.

11. Data Deletion

You can delete financial information using the deletion functionality available within the App, where applicable.

You can also remove locally stored App data by clearing the App's data through Android settings or uninstalling the App.

Exported files must be deleted separately from the location where they were saved.

For information collected by third-party services, deletion and retention may be subject to the respective service's policies and applicable controls.

12. Permissions

The App may request Android permissions when required for features that you choose to use.

For example, image or media access may be required when you choose to attach a receipt or image to a transaction.

You can manage application permissions through your Android device settings.

13. Notifications

If you enable notifications, the App may use notifications to provide features related to your preferences and financial management.

You can disable notifications through the App or your Android device settings, depending on the available controls.

14. Children's Privacy

Expense Manager is not specifically designed for children.

We do not knowingly use the App to collect personal information from children for purposes unrelated to the App's functionality.
